i’ve watched
the shadows rise and fall
reflections
mimicked on the walls
i lay
watching the sunlight play
the moonlight
crawl
throughout each
waning day…
i hear the
poetry of progress
a million
lives at work whist I rest
i sigh
listening to the sounds
that i new
best
ere I laid down…
too long I’ve
basked in restitude
my body
wreathed in gratitude
the world shall soon have forgotten me
while in
solitude
i live as a
sleeping memory…
